Vice Minister Li Fei attended the Summit on Trade, Business, and Investment Opportunities between Bangladesh and China

On July 9, the Summit on Trade, Business, and Investment Opportunities between Bangladesh and China was held in Beijing. Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the summit and delivered a keynote speech. Vice Minister of Commerce Li Fei was invited to attend the summit and deliver a speech. The summit was hosted by the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission and the Investment Development Authority, and was attended by more than 400 government officials, industry associations and representatives from the business community of China and Bangladesh.

Li Fei said that China-Bangladesh cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative has yielded fruitful results, and bilateral economic and trade relations continue to deepen. He hoped that the grand vision of Chinese modernization and the dream of Golden Bangladesh will align with and reinforce each other. He encouraged businesses from the two countries to actively expand economic and trade cooperation, fully unlock potential in manufacturing, digital economy, green environment and other fields, produce more tangible results to China-Bangladesh economic and trade cooperation and boost bilateral economic and trade relations. He encouraged Bangladeshi enterprises to make full use of the CIIE and other platforms to explore the Chinese market and promote quality products.

PM Hasina said that the Bangladeshi people sincerely appreciate the support and assistance provided by Chinese friends to the economic and social development of Bangladesh. Chinese enterprises are welcome to invest and operate in Bangladesh, and Bangladesh is willing to provide more supportive policies and a safe and friendly business environment to further expand practical cooperation in trade, investment and joint ventures.
