On August 30, the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety of Pakistan co-hosted the China-Pakistan Forum on Poverty Reduction and Social Development. Li Fei, Assistant Minister of Commerce addressed the event virtually. Around 100 representatives of government departments, academic institutions and multilateral international agencies from both countries attended the event, online and on-site, and exchanged ideas on the journey and experience of China’s poverty reduction, methods for addressing Pakistan’s poverty, etc.
